Countdown is an online trading card game centered on some of Japan's brightest stars in the entertainment business: the idols of Johnny's Entertainment, a company that focuses on male talents from young to old, abilities spanning music, acting and more. The cards represent the many aspects of their careers: magazine shoots, photobooks, dramas, movies, and music videos! The TCG does it's best to cater to fans of both young and older generations-- and has been known to introduce traders to some new groups as well!
The TCG was first opened on July 30, 2006 and hosted on typhoon-generation.net. It moved with Cassie to love-jam.net on August 3, 2007, and again to shinkirou.net on August 1, 2009! Along with this move, the TCG was revamped completely with new cards and activities to give traders and the TCG owner a fresh start moving into it's fourth year of existence.
Original Countdown Items
Countdown's original decks were positioned vertically. The A.RA.SHI deck was the first deck made back in 2006! For nostalgia's sake, I also purposefully made Arashi's deck first during the TCG's revamp. :)
In terms of currency, Countdown used tickets! These could be used to purchase just about anything in the TCG: cards, shop items, raffle tickets, etc.
